Combatting Hunger

HOPE KITCHEN
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00am—12:00pm
Prepare, cook and serve. Clean up the kitchen and dining room.

DAILY BREAD FOOD PANTRY
Tuesday 11:30am—1:00pm
Unload food from Food Bank and stock shelves.

GREETER
Thursday and Friday 9:00am—1:00PM
Greet guests and answer the phone.t their hands dirty for a good cause.

Kids FEAST After School Program
(Food, Education, Arts, Spiritual Development, Teaching)

HOMEWORK HELP AND TUTORING
Tuesday through Friday 3:00pm—4:30pm
Assist students in grades K-8 with homework.

DINNER
Wednesday and Friday 5:00pm—6:00pm
Donate and prepare dinner for children.

Easter
Pack and distribute approximately 1,000 gifts to local nursing homes and the Bedford
Veterans Administration Hospital.

SUMMER
Camp Wonderland
Recruit sponsors to support opportunities for 50 local children to spend a week at the longest running Salvation Army overnight camp in the country.

AUGUST
Vacation Bible School
Assist with lessons, recreational activities and meals during a weeklong children’s program.

Back-to-School
Support several different programs including the TD Garden Back-to-School, Target Shopping Spree and supply drive for backpack distribution in Waltham.

OCTOBER
Thanksgiving and Christmas Assistance
Help with the application process for families in need of food and gifts for Thanksgiving and
Christmas.

NOVEMBER
Thanksgiving Basket Distribution
A two-day distribution of turkeys and all the fixings for families in need.

Hope Kitchen Thanksgiving Celebration (Wednesday before Thanksgiving)
Assist with securing food donations, cooking, serving and cleaning up.

DECEMBER
Red Kettle Campaign
Ring bells at an iconic red kettle to support local programs and services all year round.

Community Cares Minitries
Deliver approximately 1,000 Christmas gifts to local nursing homes and the Bedford Veterans Administration Hospital.

Christmas Food and Gift Distribution
Pack and distribute food baskets and gift bags for pre-registered families in need.

Hope Kitchen Christmas Dinner (Friday before Christmas)
Assist with securing food donations, cooking, serving and cleaning up.

Fall Fundraising Event Committee
SPRING THROUGH NOVEMBER With a different theme each year, this fun early November fundraising and awareness event kicks off the holiday season. Help is needed with sponsor
recruitment, auction item procurement and event logistics.
