Thanksgiving & Christmas Assistance

The Newburyport Salvation Army corps provides assistance with food and Christmas gifts for kids 14 and under to residents of Newburyport, Newbury, West Newbury, Byfield, Amesbury and Salisbury. Registration takes place at The Salvation Army, 40 Water Street, Newburyport. Please use the Fair Street entrance. For questions, please call 978-465-0883. No appointment necessary.

SignUps: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, October 17-November 3

Tuesdays (10/17, 10/23, 10/31) - 9:00am-Noon
Wednesdays (10/18, 10/25, 11/1) - 1:00-4:00pm
Thursdays (10/19, 10/26, 11/2) - 1:00-5:30pm

Required Items:
1) Picture ID for ALL adults in the household
2) Supporting documents for all children, birth certificates AND health insurance cards. Custody papers where relevant.
3) Proof of ALL household income: SSI, SSDI, Pay Stubs, Unemployment, Alimony, Child Support
4) Proof of Residence and Expenses: For rent or morgage AND utility bills

Thanksgiving Food pick up will be November 20, 1-5:30pm.
Christmas Food Only pick up will be December 18, 10:00am-12:00pm.
Christmas Food and Toy pick up will be December 19, 1:00pm-5:30pm.
