Thanksgiving & Christmas Assistance

The Framingham Salvation Army Corps will offer sign-ups for Thanksgiving Food boxes (households of 2 or more) and the Christmas Toy Shoppe program (children 12 and under) to those in need who are residents of Framingham and Southborough. Registration takes place at our corps at 35 Concord Street, Framingham.

Sign-Ups:
October 23 - 9:30am-1:30pm & 5:00-7:00pm
October 24 - 9:30am-1:30pm
October 25 - 9:30am-1:30pm
October 26 - 9:30am-1:30pm & 5:00-7:00pm
October 27 - 9:30am-1:30pm

Required Items: **Please Read Carefully**
Please note: if you applied for Thanksgiving Food and Christmas Toys in 2016, we will look up your application from last year but you must still live in Framingham or Southborough and will still need to bring your ID and BIRTHDATES (MM/DD/YYYY) for EVERYONE in your household.

Thanksgiving Requirements
1) Valid photo ID
2) Proof of residency in our service area
3) Name and birthdate for ALL household members

Christmas Requirements
1) Valid photo ID
2) Proof of residency in our service area
3) One OFFICIAL document with child's birthdate on it. (birth certificate, school record, passport, shot record, etc).
If you received toys in 2016, you only need ID, unless you have a new baby.

Volunteering & Donations

Do you love to sing or play an instrument? We're looking for all types of performers to Rock the Red Kettle!
Perform during November and December at our kettle stands. Please send a short video clip of you performing a Christmas song to lrivers@use.salvationarmy.org along with your name, and a little info about yourself of your group!


You can be a part of what The Salvation Army is doing in your community - here’s how!
Email Major Lynnann Rivers at lrivers@use.salvationarmy.org and let her know what you are interested in. Opportunities may include:

-Assisting with Thanksgiving and Christmas applications
-Donate food for Blessing Boxes (turkeys for Thanksgiving, turkeys or hams for Christmas, veggies, etc)
-Assembling and filling Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes
-Distributing Thanksgiving Blessing Boxes
-Bellringing
-Assisting with Christmas Blessing Box distribution
-Be a personal shopper at our Toy Shoppe
-Host a toy drive
-Adopt a family for Christmas
-Donate socks or personal care items for our homeless ministries
-Donate gift cards for families with older children or children with special needs
-Host an angel tree
-Host a countertop kettle
-Sell paper kettles


Statistics of Service

During the Holiday Season of 2015, The Salvation Army of Framingham:
-Served 300 Families with food to make Thanksgiving Dinner
-Raised $52,000 through the Red Kettle Program
-Provided 4000 Christmas Gifts to over 500 Children through the Angel Tree Program and provided 200 boxes of Christmas food to those families

During 2016, The Salvation Army of Framingham has:
-Served 13,500 dinners in our Miracle Kitchen
-Given out 1800 bags of food through our Pantry
-Seen 12,000 people come through Sally’s Marketplace
-Provided Summer Camp experiences to 25 children 
-Given out 275 Backpacks filled with School Supplies
-Opened a community Diaper Bank Program
